Time back for the work that matters

DESCRIPTION

For its tenth anniversary, TravelPerk became Perk: a new name, a new platform and a new era beyond travel. As Perk’s strategic creative partner, we co-designed the rebrand with Wolff Olins and Perk’s internal teams, led the design of the product and the website that carry it, and created the first phase of its AI layer.

The shift
TravelPerk started with a mission: make travel for work effortless. But travel was only part of a bigger story. Customers did not want another tool. They wanted fewer of them. Travel, expenses, invoices and card payments were scattered across tools and manual steps, and every handoff cost time. A new name could not fix that. It took a connected ecosystem, where brand, product, service and content answer to one idea, and the product does the connecting.

A brand ready for its next journey
The ten-year rebrand was where it started. Together with Perk, we set the ambition and the foundation for what the brand would become. We partnered with Wolff Olins to co-design the identity, from logo to motion to graphic language. The result is bold, human and flexible, anchored by Perk Green, a colour confident enough to stand apart from the blue of the category.

One product, one experience
The idea that guided us was Perk’s own: the intelligent platform for travel and spend. We used it to define how product, service and content fit together, and to orchestrate them into one experience that automates travel, expenses and policies in one place. I led creative and product design direction as everything came together under one login. It had to work for finance teams, travel managers, operations and travellers, each with different needs. Travel, Spend and Events became three clear areas, guided by three design principles: control you can set once and trust, visibility before something becomes a problem, and an experience that works how people work. Across them we designed the journeys that matter most: booking trips and flights, managing expenses, running events, and turning data into reports and insights.

A connected hub for the brand
The website had to do more than introduce a new name. We designed it as a connected hub that explains Perk’s products and offers, brings them to life through case studies, and orchestrates content, marketing and product together in one place. It runs on the same system as the product, so what people read is what they then use.

A system that scales
A shared design system gives Perk’s brand, product and tech teams one language to build with. New features and capabilities can be created and added to the product and the website without breaking the experience. Perk now has one brand, one product and one website that tell the same story, an AI layer already underway, and a system its own teams run.

The next frontier: AI
Work does not stop at the edge of a product. Together with Perk, we created the first phase of its AI layer, across strategy, creative and design. It brings Perk into the AI assistants people already work in: booking a trip, approving an expense or asking for a report becomes a conversation, with the same data and policies behind it. It is phase 01 of a longer direction, and a natural next step for a product built to give time back.
